We skipped a 2-hour airport queue

Frequent Traveller News

Hi Reader,

We’ve just landed in Vietnam and this ended up being one of the easiest arrivals we’ve ever had.

You might remember we mentioned trying the fast-track immigration service in Ho Chi Minh City. Honestly, it was one of the best travel decisions we’ve made.

We landed at 9:00pm to a packed immigration hall, with hundreds of people already in line.

Instead of joining them, we were met by a representative and taken straight to an officer. There was no waiting at all and we were through in under 5 minutes. 👉 See how it works here

It likely saved us 2+ hours, so for ~$22 AUD it felt like a no-brainer.

If you’re flying into Ho Chi Minh City, this is worth a look:

Another thing that made a big difference for us was using an eSIM.

There’s no lining up at airport kiosks, no swapping physical SIM cards, and you’re connected as soon as you land.

We’ve put together a quick guide that breaks down when they’re worth it (and when they’re not):

If you’re planning a trip to Vietnam, or anywhere really, and have questions, just hit reply. We’re always happy to help.

Until next time,

Safe Travels!

P.S.
If you’ve got travel coming up, there’s currently 25% off eSIMs worldwide.

It could be a good one to lock in before your trip:

Is Ba Na Hills worth visiting

Frequent Traveller News VISIT OUR BLOG | RESOURCES | ABOUT US Hi Reader, We’re currently travelling through Vietnam and again just visited a place we once avoided for years. Ba Na Hills. It actually took us multiple trips to the region before we finally went, and now we’ve been three times. That probably tells you something. Before visiting, we weren’t convinced. It’s not a cultural site, and it’s not really what people picture when they think of Vietnam. It’s a mountaintop resort and theme...

How to find a doctor when travelling

Frequent Traveller News VISIT OUR BLOG | RESOURCES | ABOUT US Hi Reader, Just a quick update from us. We’re currently travelling Vietnam and have been spending a bit of time in South East Asia again. One thing that always comes up over here is the language barrier. Day to day it is usually fine. Ordering food, getting around, booking things. No issues. But it did get us thinking… What would we actually do if we needed to see a doctor while travelling? Something we looked into Out of...

We are counting down the days until our next trip to Vietnam, and we thought we would share a quick update on what we have planned. This trip will be a mix of new experiences, revisiting some of our favourite spots and testing services to make future trips to Vietnam run even smoother. Instead of our usual bus journey, we will be taking a luxury overnight train from Hanoi to Sa Pa....
